Pet Service Agreement
West Metro Pet Care agrees to provide pet care services as specified in the Work Order, including pet care, watering plants, collecting mail, and rotating lights and blinds.
Additional fees apply for some extra services such as medication administration ($5 per visit when medication needed), late-night visits ($10 after 10 PM), emergency calls ($20 for last-minute bookings, double the rate between 10 PM - 6 AM), and major holidays ($10 per visit for New Years Day, Martin Luther King Jr Day, Presidents Day, Easter, Memorial Day, Independence Day, Labor Day, Halloween, Thanksgiving, Day After Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, and New Years Eve).
The Owner provides food and supplies, but if additional items are needed, West Metro Pet Care may purchase them, and the Owner agrees to reimburse the cost.
This agreement remains in effect for future services unless updated in writing.
A new agreement is required if the Owner moves.
Price changes will be communicated before new bookings.
A lockbox is preferred for property access and can be purchased for $20. If there is no lockbox on the premises and garage codes or deadbolt lock codes are used for access, an emergency hard copy key must be kept with the emergency contact. The emergency contact must be within 30 minutes and available in case of a power outage or mechanical failure of other locking devices. If the sitter or walker is required to wait for your emergency contact to arrive and access your home, there will be a charge at our hourly rate of $45 per hour.
In case of a pet emergency, West Metro Pet Care is authorized to seek veterinary care and incur necessary costs. The Owner is responsible for all related expenses.
The Owner ensures pets are up-to-date on vaccinations.
West Metro Pet Care’s insurance covers claims for injury, death, or property damage. The Owner waives claims against West Metro Pet Care for any injury or loss and is responsible for any harm caused by their pets. Off-leash requests require the Owner to cover up to $500 of the insurance deductible if an incident occurs.
Third parties are allowed on the premises during service, but West Metro Pet Care is not responsible for any damage to property or pets resulting from third-party access.
Fees are invoiced on Sunday following the services performed from Sunday through Saturday, and cards are automatically charged on the following Monday. A $10 late fee applies if unpaid within 10 days, with continued monthly charges. A $25 fee applies to returned checks. Cancellation fees are 25% for cancellations under 48 hours and 50% within 24 hours. A $30 consultation fee applies if service is canceled after consultation.
Refund requests must be made within 10 days. Refunds are determined case-by-case.
If the Owner hires a West Metro Pet Care worker privately within two years of their last service, they must pay a Placement & Referral Fee of either $5,000 or 100% of the worker’s earnings from the past two years, whichever is higher.
West Metro Pet Care will charge the Owner’s credit/debit card for services. Fees are non-refundable, but unused visit credits may be applied for up to one year.
This contract follows Minnesota law. Legal actions must be filed in Waconia, Minnesota. The prevailing party in legal disputes may recover attorney fees.
