Kris founded West Metro Pet Care with one goal in mind: to create a reliable, compassionate, and professional pet care company. With a passion for animals, she knew there was a need for trustworthy dog walking and in-home pet sitting services in the community.
Kris provides support and guidance to the team, ensuring the mission remains strong: keeping pets happy, healthy, and loved when their families are away.
At home, Kris is also a proud pet parent to three beloved companions: Lily, an Olde English Bulldog with a big personality, Bella, a friendly Yellow Lab, and Cream Soda, a playful cat who keeps everyone entertained. As both a pet care professional and a lifelong pet owner, Kris truly understands the joy—and responsibility—that comes with caring for animals.
A Family-Led Approach
While Kris continues to provide vision and leadership, the day-to-day operations of West Metro Pet Care are managed by her daughter, Alana Whittaker. Alana oversees hiring, training, and supporting the team of pet sitters and dog walkers, ensuring every client receives the consistent, dependable care they deserve.
